Dr. Matt Balazik, Ph.D., a member of VCU Rice Rivers Center's research faculty, recently  collaborated with researchers from the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.  Their work is highlighted in The Washington Post guest column, "An ancient fish is in danger, but research could salvage its future."
